Dream Bed Mattress Review

Mattress Firm is no longer making the Dream Bed. They’ve since launched a very similar offering called Tulo which we review here.
We recommend checking out Tulo instead of continuing your search for the dream bed.

What You Need to Know about the Dream Bed Mattress

Mattress Type and Components:

  • Mattress Firm offers two Dream Bed memory foam mattress models:
    • The Original Dream is constructed with a four-inch (4″) comfort layer consisting of an air memory foam top layer and a polyfoam bottom layer. The six-inch (6″) support core is made of high-density polyfoam.
    • The Essential Dream features a comfort layer with a two-inch (2″) top layer of air memory foam and a two-inch (2″) bottom layer of standard memory foam. The four-inch (4″) support core is constructed from high-density polyfoam.
    • Both mattresses have a woven cover.
    • Please note: The Cool Dream mattress is no longer available for purchase on the Dream Bed website. This model appears in numerous reviews for Dream Bed mattresses.

  • The Original Dream and Essential Dream mattresses are available in two different firmness ratings, which accommodates a wider range of sleepers.
  • Both Dream Bed mattresses have price-points that are far below the cost of an average memory foam mattress.
  • As part of Dream Bed’s ‘Refer a Friend’ program, purchasers who refer customers to the company will be entitled to a $50 reward.

  • Dream Bed mattresses have been available for less than two years, and their long-term performance has not been accurately evaluated.
  • Dream Bed provides no information about warranty coverage on its website, and Mattress Firm’s details are vague. Additionally, neither company has disclosed foam densities or cover compositions for Dream Bed mattresses. Comparatively, most mattress sellers are more transparent about this information.
  • Mattress Firm has received numerous complaints regarding unresponsive customer service; the company’s Better Business Bureau profile lists 56 negative reviews, many of which mention poor customer service.
