Sleep Position Ratings
The Nectar Mattress
The Nectar Mattress has a ‘Medium Firm’ feel, which corresponds to a 6.5 on the 1-10 firmness scale. This makes it optimal for sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds, especially back and stomach sleepers who need firm, even support for proper spinal alignment and pressure-free sleep.
Heavier side sleepers may also find the mattress comfortable and supportive, though lighter people might not experience much body conforming or pain/pressure relief due to the bed’s firmness level. The mattress has an 12-inch profile, which is slightly thicker than average but should be suitable for most sleepers.
The Tuft & Needle Mattress
The T&N Mattress shares the same ‘Medium Firm’ (6.5) feel as the Nectar Mattress. As such, it is also a good choice for back and stomach sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds, as well as side sleepers weighing more than 230 pounds.
The T&N Mattress may not conform closely enough to alleviate aches and pains for sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. Its 10-inch profile is considered average, and should be suitable for most sleepers regardless of weight or position.

How Is the Nectar Mattress Built?
The Nectar is designed with a gel memory foam comfort layers measuring 3 inches thick, followed by a 2-inch transitional polyfoam layer. These components create ample cushioning, resulting in a ‘Medium Firm’ feel that is ideal for people in the average weight (130 to 230 pounds) and heavy weight (more than 230 pounds) groups. The gel-infused elements also allow the mattress to sleep cooler than many competing all-foam beds.
A 7-inch support core made of high-density memory foam and polyfoam reinforces the entire bed to prevent sagging and maintain an even sleep surface. The bed measures 12 inches thick and weighs 74 pounds in a queen size, which is exceptionally light even by foam mattress standards; this makes is fairly easy to lift and rotate the Nectar Mattress. The Nectar also isolates motion transfer very well and does not make any noise when bearing weight, which can be beneficial for couples.
How Is the Tuft & Needle Mattress Built?
The T&N Mattress has one, 3-inch comfort layer made of 2.8 PCF polyfoam infused with graphite for added cooling. The mattress has a ‘Medium Firm’ surface that provides moderate yet consistent conforming. Like the Nectar Mattress, the T&N Mattress is best suited for back and stomach sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds. It may also provide sufficient support for heavier side sleepers.
The T&N Mattress also has a 7-inch support core made of high-density polyfoam. Because this layer is thicker than the support cores of most other all-foam beds, the T&N Mattress offers better-than-average durability and won’t sag as easily. The T&N Mattress has a 10-inch profile and weighs 72 pounds in a queen size, making it even lighter and easier to lift than the Nectar Mattress. It also sleeps relatively cool compared to other all-polyfoam models, isolates motion transfer very well, and produces no noise.
