General Overview

  • More than two dozen innerspring and memory foam mattresses are available from Signature Sleep to accommodate a wide range of sleeper preferences.
  • Signature Sleep innerspring owners note their mattresses have strong edge support and sleep relatively cool; memory foam owners claim their beds isolate motion and produce virtually no noise.
  • Signature Sleep mattresses are available from a large number of third-party sellers, including Target, Wal-Mart, and Amazon.com.
  • The price-points of innerspring and memory foam mattresses from Signature Sleep are all significantly below-average compared to similar models.

Cons

  • Chief complaints about Signature Sleep mattresses include below-average durability and poor motion isolation for innersprings, and weak edge support and high amounts of off-gassing for memory foam models.
  • Signature Sleep offers a one-year warranty on all mattresses; by comparison, most mattress manufacturers offer warranty coverage for at least 10 years.
  • Signature Sleep does not disclose pricing information about any mattresses, and does not provide certain specs (such as foam density, cover composition, or layer thicknesses) for select models. This can make shopping online somewhat difficult.

Signature Sleep mattresses are sold exclusively through 3rd-party retailers.

What Type of Sleeper is Best Suited to a Signature Sleep Foam Mattress?

Based on our customer feedback, Signature Sleep mattresses received the following grades among sleepers of different weights and preferred sleep positions.

Please note that these ratings are subjective, and that everyone has varying experiences on different mattresses.

Sleeper comfort and spinal support are the most important factors when it comes to selecting a mattress.

For this table, we have categorized all mattresses by type and thickness; individual model results may vary. Please note that 10-inch and 12-inch innersprings are not included in the table due to insufficient customer data.

For more information on sleeping positions please see our guides for side, back, stomach and combination sleepers.

Sleep Trial and Warranty

  • Trial Period and Guarantee

Trial Period and Guarantee: Signature Sleep mattresses are exclusively available through third-party retailers. For this reason, customers should defer to the sleep trial and return policy of the brick-and-mortar location where they purchase their mattress.

  • Warranty Details

Warranty: Signature Sleep offers a 1-year warranty for all mattresses.

    1. Warranty coverage begins on the date of original purchase. Signature Sleep will, at their sole discretion, repair or replace mattresses that are deemed defective for as long as the warranty is valid. Mattress owners will be responsible for all transportation and handling charges associated with mattress repairs or replacements.
    2. If a mattress has been discontinued or is not currently available to replace a defective mattress, Signature Sleep reserves the right to provide a comparable substitute as the replacement.
    3. Replacing the mattress will not extend the original warranty, nor will this result in the creation of a new warranty.
    4. The warranty will cover the following mattress defects:
      • Visible indentations or sagging in the sleep surface that measure one and a half inches (1 1/2″) or deeper and are not the result of owner abuse and/or improper foundational support.
      • Metal wires that are ‘broken, loose, or protruding through the fabric’.
    5. The warranty will not cover the following:
      • Normal increases in foam softness that do not affect its pressure-relieving abilities, or visible indentations or sagging in the sleep surface that do not measure one and a half inches (1 1/2″) or deeper. These issues are considered standard wear and tear.
      • Repair or replacement requests that occur due to changes in the owner’s comfort preferences.
      • Burns, cuts, tears, stains, and other types of physical damage that occur due to owner misuse, improper cleaning, and/or inadequate foundational support.
    6. This warranty is exclusively extended to original owners who purchase their mattress directly from an authorized Signature Sleep retailer. Those who buy or acquire their mattress from the original owner or a non-authorized retailer will not be entitled to warranty coverage.
