Charles P. Rogers Mattress Reviews

The Bottom Line.

  • In business since 1885, Charles P. Rogers offers luxury hybrids representing a wide range of firmness, thickness, and pricing options.
  • Beds offer strong edge support and great temperature neutrality.
  • Charles P. Rogers mattresses range from 13.5″ to 15.75″ thick, making them suitable for sleepers who prefer high-profile beds.

Quick Summary

Quick Summary

Charles P. Rogers Beds Direct has sold mattresses since 1855. The brand currently sells a total of eight individual hybrid models that are part of three exclusive collections.

  • The St. Regis collection includes two models. The St. Regis Memory Foam, also known as the St. Regis, is constructed with comfort layers of memory foam, cotton, and high-density polyfoam, along with a cotton-blend cover and a pocketed coil support core. This bed is considered ‘Medium Firm,’ or a 6 on the 1-10 firmness scale. The second bed in the St. Regis collection is the St. Regis Pulse. This bed is constructed with a latex comfort layer instead of memory foam, and is ‘Medium’ (5) in terms of firmness; otherwise, it is identical to the St. Regis Memory Foam. Both St. Regis beds have 13 1/2 inch profiles, which is much thicker than the average mattress.
  • The Powercore Estate collection features four mattress models. The Estate 5000 Firm is made with a Talalay latex comfort layer and a pocketed coil support core. It measures 13 1/2 inch thick, and is considered ‘Medium Firm’ (6). The Estate 5000 Plus is very similar to the Estate 5000 Firm, but it contains an extra 1/2 inch of latex comfort layer to give the bed a slightly higher profile (13 3/4 inches) and softer feel; it is considered ‘Medium’ (5.5). The Estate 7000 Extra Comfort has two Talalay latex comfort layers – one firm, one soft – to give the mattress a ‘Medium’ (5) feel and a 14 1/2 inch profile. Lastly, the Estate 9000 Luxury Plush is a latex hybrid with adjustable firmness; the flippable Talalay latex comfort layer, also known as the cassette, can be rotated to make the mattress feel firmer or softer. King and California King sizes contain two flippable cassettes. The Estate 9000 Luxury Plush measures 15 1/2 inch thick.
  • The Powercore Nano collection includes two models. The Powercore Nano 1 contains Talalay latex and minicoil comfort layers, along with a pocketed coil support core. It is ‘Medium’ (5) and measures 14 1/2 inch thick. The Powercore Nano 2 – like the Estate 9000 Luxury Plush – includes one or two flippable Talalay latex cassettes (depending on the selected size) along with two minicoil layers and an additional latex layer. This mattress is considered ‘Medium Soft’ (4.5) and measures 15 3/4 inch thick.

As you can see, Charles P. Rogers mattresses are all much thicker than the average mattress. They are also quite heavy and difficult to move. The beds feature thick comfort layers that offer exceptional motion isolation and even body conforming, and noise potential is relatively low compared to other coil mattresses. Charles P. Rogers beds also sleep cool and comfortable for most.

Charles P. Rogers offers White Glove delivery for an additional $150 within the contiguous U.S.; deliveries outside the contiguous U.S., including Canada and other international destinations, can also be arranged. Each mattress is backed by a 100-night sleep trial and a warranty that covers the bed against defects for at least 10 years. This guide will discuss how Charles P. Rogers mattresses are constructed and priced, as well as performance and sleeper ratings and the brand’s shipping, return, and warranty policies.

What Type of Sleeper is Best Suited to a Charles P. Rogers Mattress?

Based on our customer feedback, Charles P. Rogers mattresses have received the following grades among sleepers of different weights and preferred sleep positions. Please note that these ratings are subjective, and that everyone has varying experiences on different mattresses. Sleeper comfort and spinal support are the most important factors when it comes to selecting a mattress.

For more information on sleeping positions please see our guides for sidebackstomach and combination sleepers.

Charles P. Rogers Mattress Recommendations

Generally speaking, Charles P. Rogers mattresses are most suitable for sleepers who prefer thicker-than-average profiles and comfort layers that conform very closely.

The beds are particularly beneficial for side sleepers, who often require extra padding in order to improve their spinal alignment and alleviate pressure points in the neck, shoulders, lower back, and hips. Stomach sleepers, on the other hand, may find the mattresses sink too deeply and do not provide enough support.

Charles P. Rogers range from ‘Medium Soft’ to ‘Medium Firm,’ making them ideal for sleepers who weigh between 130 and 230 pounds.

  • You don’t mind purchasing a mattress at an above-average price-point
  • You experience frequent aches and pains in your shoulders, back, and other sensitive areas
  • You and/or your sleep partner awaken on innerspring/hybrid beds due to movement or noise
