Loom & Leaf Mattress Sleep Ratings

CategoryCriteriaLoom & Leaf RatingWhat Loom & Leaf Users Say
Customer SatisfactionBased on data collection, this is an overall customer sentiment regarding the Loom & Leaf mattress from Saatva.72%Loom & Leaf mattresses have earned a 72% satisfaction rating from customers, which is on par with the average rating for all memory foam models.
Durability Memory foam is fairly durable, but the sleep surface may develop sagging and indentations over time that can affect mattress comfort and support to a significant extent.FairLoom & Leaf mattresses are made to perform for six to seven years on average, but the company’s limited history means that the beds have not been evaluated for long-term durability.
Motion IsolationMemory foam mattresses have been touted for motion isolation, which means that motion does not occur throughout the mattress when someone gets up or shifts their position.ExcellentAccording to Loom & Leaf owners, little to no motion transfer occurs when someone shifts positions or gets up from bed.
Sex Memory foam is not bouncy and offers minimal responsiveness. As a result, these mattresses may be less than ideal for sex.FairThe Loom & Leaf mattress provides little to no bounce, and may not be responsive enough for some couples.
ConformingMemory foam mattresses are engineered to conform to the sleeper’s figure, creating a cradle-shaped impression that helps align the spine and targets pressure points.Very GoodLoom & Leaf mattresses conform closely to sleeper’s bodies to align the spine, target pressure points, and alleviate pain symptoms. Two firmness levels are available to accommodate users with different preferences.
Temperature NeutralityMemory foam retains more body heat than other mattress materials, and owners often ‘sleep hot’ as a result.FairLoom & Leaf mattresses feature cooling gel foam layers in the comfort system, but some owners still claim their mattress is a heat trap.
Off-gassingSome mattresses emit particles when they are unpackaged, accompanied by unpleasant ‘off-gassing’ smells that can last for days.FairSeveral owners have reported unpleasant off-gassing smells at first, but these odors tend to dissipate within one or two days.
Edge SupportBecause of their construction, memory foam mattresses often feature little to no edge support and may sink where people sit when they get up from or onto the bed.PoorLike most memory foam mattresses, Loom & Leaf models have little edge support and often develop sinkage where people sit.
NoiseMemory foam mattresses create little to no noise, due to their lack of springs, coils, and other metal componentsExcellentLoom & Leaf mattresses are virtually silent when bearing weight.
Ease of Moving and RotatingAll mattresses are relatively heavy, but some are more unwieldy and difficult to maneuver than others.FairLoom & Leaf mattresses are heavier than most memory foam models, and the website suggests rotating the mattress two to three times per year for optimal performance and shape retention.
