How Is the Simmons Beautyrest Black Mariela Built?
Features of the Simmons Beautyrest Black Mariela somewhat depend on the selected firmness. For example, the topmost layer is different for each firmness option. The ‘Soft’ option has a top layer of gel memory foam; the ‘Medium Firm’ option has a layer of standard memory foam; and the ‘Firm’ option has a layer of polyfoam. All three models have additional comfort layers of memory foam and synthetic latex.
The Mariela’s support core begins with a layer of transitional polyfoam, followed by the pocketed coils. In the ‘Medium Firm’ and ‘Firm’ beds, the coils are 13.5-gauge; the ‘Medium Firm’ mattress has 14.75-gauge coils. The mattress measures 14″ to 15″ thick, depending on the selected firmness, giving it a much higher profile than most mattresses sold today (the average bed measures roughly 10″ thick). Saatva offers a 365-night sleep trial for the Saatva mattress.
A break-in period is not required; customers may return their mattress at any point of the sleep trial and receive a full refund.
The sleep trial begins on the delivery date.
A transportation fee of $99 will be deducted from all refunds issued for mattress returns. Additionally, mattress exchanges are available for the same $99 surcharge.
Warranty
Saatva offers a lifetime warranty:
This warranty is non-prorated. During the first two years of ownership, Saatva will repair or replace mattresses with defects free of charge. Beginning in the third year, Saatva will repair defective mattresses for a transportation fee of $149.
In addition to the terms listed above, Saatva offers the ‘Fairness Replacement Option.’ This allows customers to replace a defective mattress (instead of having it repaired) at a discounted price. Saatva will pay all associated shipping and transportation charges, and owners are allowed to keep the original mattress at no extra cost.
The warranty will be voided if mattresses are not used with metal frames that have at least four to five legs; additionally, center support is required for Queen, King, and California King sizes.
