What You Need to Know about the Reverie Mattress

Mattress Type and Components:

  • Reverie offers latex hybrid and foam-and-latex hybrid mattresses. All Reverie mattresses are constructed with a signature support core known as ‘DreamCell’, which consists of natural latex coils with varying firmness levels. A total of seven Reverie models are currently available for purchase online and at brick-and-mortar retailer locations:
    • The Dream Supreme II Hybrid Mattress is designed for individualized firmness ratings on each side to accommodate couples with differing sleep preferences. Each side is available in a Firm, Medium, or Soft rating; owners can reconfigure the latex coils to adjust the firmness on either side. The comfort layer features a top layer of Talalay latex and a bottom layer of memory foam; the cover woven from a cashmere blend.
    • The Dream Supreme II Natural Mattress may also be customized and reconfigured with different firmness ratings on either side. The comfort layer is constructed from Talalay latex, and the cover is woven from a cashmere blend.
    • The Dream Supreme I Hybrid Mattress is designed with a top layer of Talalay latex and a bottom layer of memory foam in the comfort system. The support core is reconfigurable, and couples may customize the mattress with dual firmness. The cover is made of woven fabric.
    • Like its hybrid counterpart, the Dream Supreme I Natural Mattress is designed for customization with dual firmness and a reconfigurable support core. The comfort layer is made of natural latex.
    • The Dream Hybrid II Mattress features eight rows of foam coils in the support core; dual firmness is offered in Soft and Firm, but the latex coils are not reconfigurable. The comfort layer is designed with a top layer of Talalay latex and a bottom layer of memory foam.
    • The Dream Hybrid I Mattress (available at brick-and-mortar locations only) is similar to the Dream Hybrid II, with dual firmness offered in Soft and Firm and five rows of latex coils that are not reconfigurable. The comfort system has a top layer of Talalay latex and a bottom layer of memory foam.
    • The Dream Supreme 8X Hybrid Mattress (available online only) features a reversible top comfort layer; one side is made of Talalay latex, and the other is made of memory foam. The support core is reconfigurable, and the cover is made of woven fabric.

Pros:

  • All Reverie mattresses are available in at least two different firmness ratings, and are offered in a dual firmness layout for couples with different preferences. Additionally, most Reverie mattresses feature a customizable design that allows owners to adjust the firmness of their mattress by reconfiguring the latex coil system.
  • Free White Glove delivery is offered to customers in the continental U.S.; this includes in-home assembly and packaging waste removal.

Cons:

  • Most Reverie mattresses have an above-average price-point compared to similar latex hybrid and foam-and-latex hybrid models.
  • Reverie does not offer a sleep trial, and will not accept mattress returns. By comparison, most mattress manufacturers offer a sleep trial of at least 30 nights, and will often accept mattress returns.

Product and Price Range: Reverie mattresses are available in 10 sizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Full XL, Queen, King, Split Top King, California King, Split California King, and Split Top California King; both ‘Split Top’ sizes are divided to the middle of the mattress, and designed for adjustable bases. Please note that some Reverie models are not offered in certain sizes. Prices vary by selected model and size; a full price comparison chart is found below. All Reverie mattresses are manufactured in the United States.

Amazon rating: Reverie mattresses are not currently available for purchase on Amazon.com
BBB rating: Reverie has not earned a grade from the Better Business Bureau.

How Is the Mattress Shipped?: Reverie mattresses are compressed, vacuum-sealed, and shipped in a box.
Where Do They Ship?: Reverie ships to all addresses in all 50 states ‘with a few exceptions for remote areas’.
Delivery Fee: Standard shipping and White Glove delivery are both free for customers in the continental U.S.; deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, select remote locations, and international addresses will incur shipping fees.

Delivery Policy: The delivery policy for Reverie is as follows:

  • Customers who select standard delivery will typically receive their mattress within three to five business days. For those who choose White Glove delivery, their mattress will usually arrive within four to five weeks of the original purchase.
  • White Glove delivery includes in-home assembly for up to 30 minutes; if this process takes longer than 30 minutes, the mattress owner may incur additional charges. White Glove services also include packaging waste disposal. Customers will receive a phone call from Reverie roughly one week after the order is placed to coordinate the delivery details.
  • In the event that a customer incurs shipping fees due to their delivery address, Reverie will contact this individual to notify them about the charges and discuss delivery details.
  • Customers who purchase their mattress from an authorized Reverie retailer should defer to that company’s delivery policy, rather than Reverie’s.

Old Mattress Removal: Reverie does not normally offer old mattress removal as part of its White Glove delivery service. Customers who do not buy directly from Reverie should inquire about old mattress removal from the retailer where they purchase their Reverie mattress.
Availability: Reverie mattresses are available on the Reverie website. Additionally, they are available through authorized retailers both online and at brick-and-mortar locations across the country.

Sleep Trial and Warranty Information

Trial Period and Guarantee: Reverie does not offer a sleep trial period, and the company will not accept mattress returns.

  1. In lieu of a traditional sleep trial, the company offers The Reverie 365 Promise. For one year after the original purchase, the company will work directly with customers to ensure their mattress is meeting their comfort expectations. The Reverie 365 Promise services include:
    • One-on-one consultations with a professional sleep coach, who will work with customers to ‘map out a sleep plan’ that aligns with their personal needs and preferences.
    • Access to an online resource library, which includes webinars, scientific journals, electronic books, and videos. Sleep coaches will create a custom list of resources for each customer.
    • Phone or email consultations with a sleep concierge, who will discuss effective ways to adjust firmness levels in the mattress based in factors like body type and sleep position.
    • For an additional $500, customers can upgrade to Sleep Concierge Platinum and receive in-home visits from Reverie sleep technicians. This upgrade also includes additional DreamCell coils and replacement materials for the comfort layer.
  2. Please note that some retailers may offer their own sleep trials for mattress purchasers. In these cases, customers should defer to the policies of that particular retailer.

Warranty: Reverie offers a 10-year limited warranty for all seven mattresses currently listed on the company’s website.

  1. Reverie will, at their sole option, repair or replace all mattresses that are deemed defective. Warranty coverage will begin on the date of original purchase.
  2. Reverie will cover costs for mattress repairs and replacements, but the customer will be responsible for all transportation and handling charges.
  3. Replacement of the original mattress will not extend the initial warranty coverage or result in the creation of a new warranty.
  4. Reverie mattresses are designed for use with a ‘firm, solid surface consisting of a proper non- spring foundation or adjustable bed base, which must in turn be properly supported by legs on an even, strong, and flat surface’. Use of an Improper foundation will void the warranty.
  5. The warranty will cover the following product defects:
    • Visible indentations or sagging in the mattress surface that measure three-quarters of an inch (3/4″) or deeper.
    • Manufacturing defects associated with the cover, including cracked or broken zippers.
  6. The warranty will not cover the following:
    • A normal increase in mattress softness that does not affect its pressure-relieving abilities, or indentations or sagging in the mattress surface that do not measure deeper than three-quarters of an inch (3/4″). These issues are considered normal wear and tear.
    • Repair or replacement requests that occur due to changes in the owner’s comfort preferences.
    • Burns, cuts, tears, stains, and other types of damage that occur due to owner misuse, improper cleaning, and/or inadequate foundational support.
  7. This warranty is exclusively extended to original owners who purchase their mattress directly from Reverie or an authorized company retailer. Anyone who buys or acquires their mattress from the original owner or an unauthorized retailer will do so ‘as is’, and will not be entitled to warranty coverage.
