The Hullo – like many competing buckwheat pillows – has certain advantages over other pillow types.
It is exceptionally firm and ideal for sleepers who find other pillow materials too soft, and the adjustable loft makes the Hullo a good pick for those with shifting thickness preferences.
The Hullo also offers great temperature neutrality and is easy to clean and maintain. However, the pillow may be too firm for some and it is not available in softer settings. Additionally, the Hullo is quite heavy and does not provide much moldability.

Can You Wash the Hullo Pillow?
The cover can be washed in a machine on a cold, gentle cycle. It should be air-dried. The buckwheat hulls never need to be cleaned.

Instructions for First Time Use: The Hullo and other Hulltex pillows do not require any special care prior to first-time use. However, customers may want to fluff their pillow to help with post-unpackaging shape recovery, and hulls may need to be added/removed for optimal thickness settings.
Cleaning Instructions:
- The buckwheat hulls never need to be cleaned. If owners need to replenish their supply, Hulltex sells 10-lb. And 20-lb. Bulk shipments.
- If the buckwheat hulls become wet, owners should empty the pillow and air or sun-dry the hulls until they are completely dry.
- The pillow’s cover can be washed in a machine on a cold, gentle cycle. It should be air-dried.
