Durability
Very Good

Our testing showed the dense foam layers of the Nectar offer average to above-average durability, with an expected lifespan of six to seven years.

Motion Isolation
Very Good

The Nectar mattress absorbs and minimizes motion to a significant extent, and should curb nighttime sleep disruptions for most. Our tests show minimal movement across the surface of the bed.

Conforming
Very Good

Dual layers of memory foam offer close conforming and pressure and pain relief in the neck, shoulders, and other sensitive areas.

Sex
Fair

The Nectar mattress has some bounce, but — like many memory foam models — it may not be responsive enough for most couples.

Temperature Neutrality
Good

The Nectar mattress sleeps somewhat warm, but the lyocell cover and gel memory foam offer more breathability than many competing memory foam models

Off-gassing
Fair

Off-gassing odors have been reported for newer Nectar mattresses, but these smells tend to dissipate within a few days.

Edge Support
Good

The Nectar mattress offers better edge support than most all-foam mattresses at this price range due to its dense foam layers, though some owners have reported sinkage after less than one year of use.

Sleep Rating

Durability
Good

T&N Mattresses are designed to perform for six to seven years, which is on par with similar models. The mattresses have been sold for less than five years, and longevity past the five-year mark has not been evaluated, but owners report minimal sagging and deterioration.

Motion Isolation
Very Good

Although T&N Mattresses contain no memory foam, customer reports indicate that the sleep surface absorbs and reduces motion transfer to a significant extent.

Conforming
Very Good

The T&N Mattress provides above-average pain and pressure relief compared to owners of other all-polyfoam mattress models.

Sex
Fair

T&N Mattresses are somewhat bouncy, but they may not be responsive enough for some couples.

Temperature Neutrality
Good

A small number of T&N Mattress owners claim their mattress sleeps excessively hot, but most say temperature neutrality is not a significant issue.

Off-gassing
Good

Some off-gassing is to be expected with the T&N Mattress, but these odors will dissipate rather quickly.

Edge Support
Fair

Edge support is questionable with the T&N Mattress and sinkage may occur along the perimeter of the bed.

Noise
Excellent

T&N Mattresses are virtually silent when bearing weight.

How is the Nectar Mattress built?

The Nectar is designed with three primary comfort layers: a top layer of quilted memory foam, a second layer of gel memory foam, and a third layer of standard memory foam. These components create 5″ of cushioning, resulting in a ‘Medium Firm’ feel that is ideal for people in the average weight (130 to 230 pounds) and heavy weight (more than 230 pounds) groups – particularly back and stomach sleepers. The gel-infused elements also allow the mattress to sleep cooler than many competing all-foam beds.

A 6″ support core made of high-density polyfoam reinforces the entire bed to prevent sagging and maintain an even sleep surface. The bed measures 11″ thick and weighs 74 pounds in a Queen size, which is exceptionally light even by foam mattress standards; this makes is fairly easy to lift and rotate the Nectar Mattress. The Nectar also isolates motion transfer very well and does not make any noise when bearing weight, which can be beneficial for couples.

How is the T&N Mattress built?

The T&N Mattress has one, 3″ comfort layer made of 2.8 PCF polyfoam infused with graphite for added cooling. The mattress has a ‘Medium Firm’ surface that provides moderate yet consistent conforming. Like the Nectar Mattress, the T&N Mattress is best suited for back and stomach sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds. It may also provide sufficient support for heavier side sleepers.

The T&N Mattress also has a 7″ support core made of high-density polyfoam. Because this layer is thicker than the support cores of most other all-foam beds, the T&N Mattress offers better-than-average durability and won’t sag as easily. The T&N Mattress has a 10″ profile and weighs 72 pounds in a Queen size, making it even lighter and easier to lift than the Nectar Mattress. It also sleeps relatively cool compared to other all-polyfoam models, isolates motion transfer very well, and produces no noise.

Nectar Mattress Sleeper Ratings

The Nectar Mattress has a ‘Medium Firm’ feel, which corresponds to a 6.5 on the 1-10 firmness scale. This makes it optimal for sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds, especially back and stomach sleepers who need firm, even support for proper spinal alignment and pressure-free sleep.

Heavier side sleepers may also find the mattress comfortable and supportive, though lighter people might not experience much body conforming or pain/pressure relief due to the bed’s firmness level. The mattress has an 11″ profile, which is slightly thicker than average but should be suitable for most sleepers.

T&N Mattress Sleeper Ratings

The T&N Mattress shares the same ‘Medium Firm’ (6.5) feel as the Nectar Mattress. As such, it is also a good choice for back and stomach sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds, as well as side sleepers weighing more than 230 pounds.

The T&N Mattress may not conform closely enough to alleviate aches and pains for sleepers who weigh less than 130 pounds. Its 10″ profile is considered average, and should be suitable for most sleepers regardless of weight or position.
