Casper vs. Lull Mattress Overview
Casper vs. Lull Mattress Overview
Casper was founded 2014. Casper’s flagship mattress, the Casper, is made with comfort layers of polyfoam and memory foam, along with a support core constructed from high-density polyfoam and a polyester cover. This bed is considered ‘Medium,’ or a 5.5 on the 1-10 firmness scale.
Lull first launched in 2015. The brand’s flagship bed, known as the Lull Mattress, is a mixed-foam model featuring comfort layers of gel memory foam and transitional polyfoam, as well as a high-density polyfoam support core. This mattress is considered ‘Medium Firm’ (6.5).
Please note: Casper offers two other mattresses in addition to their flagship model: the Casper Essential, a memory foam mattress; and the Casper Wave, a memory foam and latex mattress. This comparison page will exclusively compare the Casper and Lull Mattress. For more information about other Casper models, please visit our Casper Mattress Reviews page.
The Casper and Lull Mattress share some similarities regarding construction and performance, but they also differ in terms of firmness, pricing, and other factors. This page compares the unique pros and cons of both beds, as well as the individual policies and overall reputations of their manufacturers.

The Casper Mattress
The Casper’s ‘Medium’ (5.5) firmness and average profile make the mattress most suitable for sleepers who weigh 230 pounds or less; heavier individuals may find the mattress is too soft. The Lull Mattress
The Lull Mattress has a ‘Medium Firm’ (6.5) feel that is optimal for sleepers who are considered average weight (130 to 230 pounds) or heavier than average (more than 230 pounds). It may be too firm for those weighing less than 130 pounds, or those who like mattresses that hug the body closely. The Lull Mattress also isolates motion fairly well and does not make any noise when bearing weight.

How Is the Casper Built?
The Casper features a mixed-foam comfort system with top and bottom polyfoam layers and a middle memory foam layer. These materials create a ‘Medium’ feel that offers close body conforming. A high-density polyfoam support core reinforces the bed and helps maintain an even, sag-free sleep surface.
At 12 inches thick, the Casper’s profile is considered average. It is also much lighter than the average all-foam bed (71 pounds in a queen size), making it easy to lift and rotate for most owners.
How Is the Lull Mattress Built?
The Lull Mattress has a 3-inch comfort system with a top layer of gel memory foam and a second layer of transitional polyfoam. These layers create a ‘Medium Firm’ feel that provides some conforming, but not as much as the Casper and most other all-foam beds. It also contains a 7-inch high-density foam base that provides great sleeper support.
The mattress measures 10 inches thick, which is on par with the average bed profile. Like the Casper, the Lull Mattress is relatively light (74 pounds in a queen size) and easy to lift and rotate as recommended.
