What Lucid Users Say
Based on data collection, this is an overall customer sentiment regarding Lucid mattresses.
74% (Latex/Foam) 73% (Latex)
The memory foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses from Lucid have all earned average to above-average customer satisfaction ratings.
The average mattress will perform for seven years before a replacement is needed. Latex is much more durable than foam in terms of mattress lifespan.
Durability for Lucid’s mattresses appears to be good, but the company has been in business since 2016 and the long-term performance of these beds has yet to be fully assessed.
Mattresses that do not contain metal springs tend to absorb and isolate motion transfer more effectively than hybrid models.
Very Good (Latex/Foam) Good (Latex)
The memory foam mattresses from Lucid minimize a significant amount of transfer. The thick comfort layers of the latex and hybrid models also provide good motion isolation.
Mattresses with coils in the support core are usually more responsive and better for sex than those with all-foam support cores.
None of Lucid’s mattresses are particularly responsive, but the hybrids are bouncier and better for sex according to owners.
Memory foam conforms to sleeper’s bodies for close contouring and pressure relief. Latex also conforms, but usually not to the same extent.
Very Good (all)
Owners of Lucid’s memory latex and foam models report close conforming and strong pressure relief. The hybrids also conform, but not as closely.
Foams tend to retain more body heat and sleep warmer than latex, though mattresses with coil-based support cores will often sleep cooler than those with foam cores.
Lucid mattresses can be heat traps, according to owners, but the hybrids provide better circulation and sleep somewhat cooler than the foam and/or latex models.
Most mattresses produce off-gassing odors when new, but odors from foam tend to be stronger and longer-lasting than latex smells.
Owners of Lucid memory foam mattresses report more smells than those who own latex or hybrid models.
Mattresses with coils tend to offer reinforced edge support, which helps prevent sinkage where people like to sit. Edge support for beds with foam cores is usually fair at best.
Edge support is a common complaint among owners of Lucid’s latex and foam models, but those who sleep on hybrids report strong edge support and minimal sinkage.
Mattresses made of foam or latex are often virtually silent, but hybrids may produce creaking sounds from time to time.
The latex and foam mattresses from Lucid are virtually silent when bearing weight, and the hybrids are quieter than most similar models.
Ease of Moving and Rotating
All mattresses are relatively heavy, but some are more unwieldy and difficult to move than others.
Good (Latex) Poor (Latex/Foam)
The latex and foam model from Lucid weighs 115 pounds in a Queen size, but the brand’s other models generally weigh 60 to 100 pounds in the same size.

Manufacturing flaws related to the cover, including cracked or broken zippers.
The warranty will not cover the following:
A normal increase in foam or latex softness that does not affect its pressure-relieving abilities, or indentations or sagging that do not measure to one and a half inches (1 1/2?). These issues are both considered standard wear and tear.
Burns, cuts, tears, stains, and other types of damage that result from owner misuse, improper cleaning, and/or inadequate foundational support.
‘Alteration or repair by unauthorized representatives’.
Customers who wish to file a warranty claim should contact Lucid by email. Original proof of purchase will be required.
