Quick Overview

Boll & Branch launched in 2014 with a focus on high-quality bedding produced from materials that are produced in a way that is sustainable both environmentally and socially. This commitment is reflected in the company’s use of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified and Fair Trade Certified cotton.

The company offers four different types of sheet sets. Three are made with organic cotton and include the Signature Soft sheets, the Percale sheets, and the Flannel sheets. The other set is made with 100% European linen.

With high-end materials, the Boll & Branch sheet sets provide luxury when it comes to comfort and breathability. The sheets meet high standards for appearance as well, and customers can choose from numerous design styles and colors to perfectly fit the decor of their bedroom.

All of the sheet sets are available in Full, Queen, King, and California King, and Split King sizes, and the Signature Soft and Percale sheets are offered in Twin and Twin XL as well. Each set comes with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and one or two pillowcases depending on the size. A reusable bag for storage or laundry comes with each set as well.

Stay nice and cool throughout the night, don’t cause you to overheat and awake in sweat. Allow for enough airflow to wick moisture away.

Rating

Excellent

As a fabric, cotton excels at facilitating comfort cooling. It does this by pulling moisture away from the body, allowing it to evaporate and maintain a well-regulated temperature. The percale weave offers the maximum in breathability and gives a noticeably cool and crisp feel when up against your skin.

Flannel

Category Criteria Rating What Users Are Saying
Category

Durability

Criteria

Hold up to regular washing, daily wear and tear. Should last for several years.

Rating

Very Good

What Buyers Say

The long-staple cotton in the Boll & Branch Flannel sheet set holds up well to regular use and washing, and in the medium-term, it may even start to feel softer after being washed. Over time, though, some of the fluffy feel of the flannel may wear out.

Category

Temperature Regulation

Criteria

Stay nice and cool throughout the night, don’t cause you to overheat and awake in sweat. Allow for enough airflow to wick moisture away.

Rating

What Buyers Say

The brushed fabric in flannel makes it prone ot holding in heat and having a warmer feel against the skin. It is often preferred in cooler climates and during the winter. Because it is made with long-staple cotton, it will breathe more than polyester flannel, but it may not be a top choice for people who tend to sleep hot.

Category

Fit

Criteria

Tailored to your mattress size so that it’s neither overstretched nor bunched up and moving around loosely.

Rating

Very Good

What Buyers Say

There are minimal fit issues reported by customers who have used these sheets. They fit mattresses that are up to 17” deep and generally have no problems holding in place.

All of the sheets from Boll & Branch reflect significant attention to detail both in the final product and in the manufacturing process. High quality materials made to meet exacting production standards like GOTS form the basis of these luxury sheets. They are then carefully woven for excellent performance and appearance.

In the cotton sheets — the Signature Soft, Percale, and Flannel sets — the material is incredibly soft and provides a clear feeling of luxury and comfort. The Percale sheets have a crisper touch, the Signature Soft are more silk-like, and the Flannel have a plusher, fuzzier feel. All are breathable although the Signature Soft and Percale will do a better job of helping to stay cool.

The Linen sheet set uses 100% European flax and provides top-notch comfort cooling and a feel that is very comfortable even though it is not as soft as cotton.

Fit is unlikely to be an issue with any of the Boll & Branch bedding and the quality materials increase the durability of these sheets. They hold up well to frequent use and regular washing, which itself is easy and can be done in the washer and dryer. However, customers who place a priority on appearance may find that they need to iron the sheets to make them totally crease-free.

Cleaning

Cleaning of the Boll & Branch sheets is straightforward. Washing instructions are different for the cotton sheets than for the linen sheets.

For cotton, including the Signature Soft, Percale, and Flannel sheets, sheets that are white, natural, or ivory colored should be washed in warm water. Sheets of any other color should be washed in cold water. After washing, they can be tumble-dried on medium heat. A warm iron can be used to eliminate creases.

For linen, the sheets should be washed in cold water with like colors and without bleach. In the dryer, use tumble-dry settings on low heat and quickly remove the sheets when dry. As with the cotton sheets, a warm iron can be used as necessary.
