The EcoSleep by Brooklyn Bedding offers a thoroughly natural, more customizable way to sleep. Designed as a flippable mattress, the EcoSleep is medium on one side and firm on the other.

The EcoSleep is constructed of pure, sustainably sourced latex throughout, paired with individually encased coils for optimal pressure point relief. The exceptional comfort and unique responsiveness of Rain Forest Alliance-certified latex results in either a plush or firm sleep experience, depending on which side of the mattress you choose. A quilted top layer of Joma Wool™ and organic cotton is thoughtfully constructed on either side, ensuring a naturally hygienic and more breathable sleep surface.

Yes. The quilted top layer, featuring Joma™ Wool and organic cotton, ensures a naturally hygienic surface that is resistant to both mold and mildew. The EcoSleep mattress is also made with sustainably sourced Natural latex. Latex is ideal for people with allergies and asthma: it is naturally mold, mildew and dust mite resistant and is inherently antibacterial and anti-fungal.

The weight of the mattress and its dimensions vary by selection. The EcoSleep mattress weighs between 75-115 pounds. Dimensions for mattress sizes can be found in the graphic here:

Many, but not all, of the materials used in the EcoSleep mattress are organic. They include sustainably sourced Joma™ Wool, Natural latex and 100 percent organic cotton. The individually encased coils used in the construction of the mattress consist of recyclable metal. The EcoSleep mattress has been Rain Forest Alliance Certified, which means it was produced using methods that support the three pillars of sustainability: social, economic, and environmental. The EcoSleep mattress is constructed with sustainable materials that are inherently breathable: Joma™ Wool, organic cotton and latex. Moreover, the coil systems used in the construction of hybrid mattresses always allow for greater airflow than all-foam mattresses.

Any type of support system that provides minimal to no flex will work with our mattress. This includes most platform, slat, and box spring foundations. If you need a foundation for your new mattress, check out our foundations specifically designed for Brooklyn Bedding mattresses here.

All Brooklyn Bedding hybrid mattresses are constructed with higher gauge coils on the perimeter to allow for enhanced edge support.

Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to be used on foundations with solid support with minimal to no flex. This includes slatted wood or metal foundations with slats no more than 4" apart, wood or metal box foundations, and solid wood or metal platforms.

All Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are designed to support up to 950 pounds. If you or your sleep partner weigh more than 300 pounds—and prefer more substantial support—you can check out the Titan Plus Mattress series by Brooklyn Bedding here.

Most Brooklyn Bedding mattresses should be rotated every 6 to 8 months but never flipped (or inverted). Our mattresses are designed with comfort layers on top and support layers on bottom, including individually encased coils in hybrid models. We also use higher quality materials that last much longer than traditional mattresses. The exceptions to the “no flip” rule are the Plank Firm and Plank Firm Luxe mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding, the EcoSleep by Brooklyn Bedding and the Propel All-Foam and Propel Hybrid mattresses by Brooklyn Bedding. These mattresses are designed with varying firmness levels on either side of the mattress and can be flipped to customize your sleep experience.

There are three layers of Natural latex foam used in the construction of the flippable EcoSleep mattress. The firm side features one layer of Natural latex foam, measured by an ILD of 31. The medium side features two Natural latex foam layers: the top layer is measured by an ILD of 19, supported by a secondary layer with an ILD of 23. In between the firm and medium sides is a core of individually encased coils.

If during your 120-night sleep trial (which begins once you receive your new mattress), you decide that you are not completely happy with your mattress and wish to return it, we will help dispose of your mattress and help you begin your return.

Please allow 30 days to laps from the date of delivery before beginning the return process.

Customers are able to make use of this 120-night comfort trial on one occasion. The second occasion is not eligible for a return.

Please note: there is a $99 return fee for all mattress returns to cover the cost of picking up your mattress. We do our very best to donate, recycle, or otherwise repurpose all returned mattresses.
