Quick Overview

The Voila Mattress from Voila, also known as the Voila Box, is a hybrid mattress model. It is constructed with comfort layers of gel memory foam and Talalay latex, along with a polyfoam transitional layer. The pocketed coils are zoned, meaning that the coil gauge (or thickness) varies for different areas of the body; this helps ensure proper support throughout the sleeper’s figure, particularly in the shoulders, midsection, and other areas where weight is concentrated.

The Voila Mattress is available in three firmness settings, each with a different corresponding profile: The Plush option is ‘Medium Soft’ (4 on the 1-10 firmness scale) and measures 12″ thick. The Medium option corresponds to ‘Medium Firm’ (6) and measures 11″ thick. The Firm option is ‘Firm’ (8) and measures 10″ thick. Varying thickness measurements in the comfort layers account for the profile differences; in all models, the support core measures roughly 6 3/4″ thick.

The Voila Mattress has a relatively thick comfort system compared to other hybrids, which allows the mattress to isolate motion transfer fairly well. It is also a good option for hot sleepers, due in part to its gel-infused comfort layer materials and strong airflow throughout the coil support core. The bed’s cover, which features mesh side panels, also helps ensure a cool and comfortable surface for most. Its price-point is also exceptionally low compared to the average hybrid cost.

Voila offers free shipping anywhere in the contiguous U.S. The mattress is backed by a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty. Read on to learn more about pricing, construction, and ratings for the Voila mattress, as well as the brand’s shipping, return, and warranty policies.

Voila offers a firmness and thickness range that should accommodate most sleepers regardless of their weight or preferred sleep position. The ‘Medium Soft’ (4) option offers a 12″ profile and close body conforming that is optimal for those weighing less than 130 pounds – particularly side sleepers, who often need extra cushioning to experience improved alignment and pressure relief. The ‘Medium Firm’ (6) option measures 11″ thick and provides moderate conforming; it is a good option for those weighing between 130 and 230 pounds, and is suitable for all sleep positions. The ‘Firm’ (8) option is 10″ thick and conforms to a minimal extent, making it particularly suitable for heavier people, as well as stomach sleepers.

Our testing process found Voila mattresses should also be great for you if…

  • You want to buy a mattress with a below-average price-point

  2. Voila covers the cost of repairing or replacing a defective mattress for the entire warranty period, but mattress owners must cover associated shipping and handling costs.
  3. Warranty coverage is contingent on proper foundational support. • Visible sagging or indentations in the sleep surface measuring three-quarters of an inch (3/4″) or deeper.
  6. The warranty will not cover the following:
    • Sagging or indentations that do not measure three-quarters of an inch (3/4″) or deeper, or normal increases in softness that do not affect the bed’s pressure-relieving qualities. These issues are considered standard wear and tear.
    • Repair or replacement requests that occur due to improper bedding fits (such as sheets) or changes in the owner’s comfort preferences.
    • Burns, cuts, tears, stains, and other types of physical damage that occur due to misuse, neglect, or improper foundational support.
  7. This warranty is non-transferable. It is exclusively offered to original owners who purchase their mattress from Voila or an authorized retailer. Those who buy or acquire their mattress from the original owner or a non-authorized retailer do not qualify for warranty coverage.

How Does Voila Compare to Other Beds?

As any consumer does with a product they’re considering, our mattress assessments naturally involve comparing them with other similar products. Be it composition, firmness, or price, we think it’s important to see how Voila mattresses stack up to other beds.

Voila offers a hybrid mattress with three firmness/thickness options. This ensures most sleepers will find a suitable setting, regardless of their weight or sleep position. All three designs feature thick comfort systems with gel memory foam and gel-infused latex layers that provide even body conforming and isolate motion transfer to a significant extent. The Voila Mattress also sleeps very cool, thanks to its material composition, mesh-paneled cover, and a pocketed coil layer that circulates air well.
