Quick Summary

Tulo is a U.S.-based mattress brand that sells beds online and at Mattress Firm brick-and-mortar stores. The company currently offers two models:

  • The Tulo Comfort Series is an all-foam bed with three comfort layers, including a top layer of standard memory foam. The support core is made from high-density polyfoam, and the cover is a knit fabric blend. The Comfort Series is available in three firmness settings: ‘Medium Soft’ (4), ‘Medium’ (5.5), and ‘Firm (7). It measures 10″ thick.
  • The Tulo Liv is a 9? mattress made with a gel-infused top layer, two additional foam comfort layers and a high-density polyfoam support core. The cover is a knit fabric blend. The Tuvo Liv has a ‘Medium’ (5.5) feel.

Our review of the Tulo mattress found that the three firmness options cover a wide range of sleeper weights and position preferences. Both Tulo beds provide good, close body conforming for targeted pain and pressure relief. They also excel at isolation motion transfer and do not make any noise.

In terms of pricing, the Tulo mattresses are considered below-average compared to other memory foam beds. The company also offers free White Glove delivery within the contiguous U.S. The mattresses are each backed by a 100-night sleep trial and a 10-year warranty.

What Type of Sleeper is Best Suited to a Tulo Mattress?

Based on our customer feedback, Tulo mattresses have received the following grades among sleepers of different weights and preferred sleep positions.

Please note that these ratings are subjective, and that everyone has varying experiences on different mattresses. Sleeper comfort and spinal support are the most important factors when it comes to selecting a mattress.

For more information on sleeping positions please see our guides for side, back, stomach and combination sleepers.

As you can see, the Tulo is a great choice for back sleepers of most weight categories, and performs quite well for those who sleep on their side. Based on the body composition and sleep preferences of the sleeper, we would recommend the firm option of the Tulo Comfort Series for anyone over 200 lbs.

We Recommend the Tulo Comfort Series if..
  • Your firmness preferences fall between ‘Medium Soft’ and ‘Firm’.
  • You sleep with a partner, and want to limit motion transfer and noise.
  • You experience frequent aches and pains in your neck, back, and other sensitive areas.
We Recommend the Tulo Liv if...
  • You prefer beds with a balanced, ‘Medium’ feel.
  • You like sleeping on low-profile beds.
  • You and/or your sleep partner awaken easily due to movement or noise.

      • Visible sagging or indentations in the sleep surface that measure three-quarters of an inch (3/4″) or deeper that do not result from misuse or improper support.
      • Physical flaws in the mattress that cause the foam to split or crack under normal circumstances.
      • Manufacturing flaws in the mattress cover, such as fabric tears or unraveling stitches.
    7. The warranty will not cover the following:
      • Sagging or indentations that do not measure three-quarters of an inch (3/4″) or deeper. This is considered normal wear and tear.
      • Changes to the mattress caused by ‘uses that go beyond ordinary, intended maintenance and uses’ of the mattress, such as ‘reclining and sleeping.’
    8. This warranty is exclusively offered to original owners who purchase their Tulo mattress from Mattress Firm or an authorized retailer. Anyone who buys or acquires the mattress from the original owner or a non-authorized retailer will not qualify for warranty coverage.
