What You Need to Know about Keetsa Hybrid Mattresses

Mattress Type and Components:

  • Keetsa offers four hybrid mattress models. These mattresses vary in terms of material composition and specifications, firmness rating, and price-point.
    • The Keetsa Plus features a comfort layer with two primary components: a top layer of memory foam and a bottom layer of polyfoam. The support core is constructed with pocketed coils. The quilted cover is made of organic cotton-canvas, and lined with a polyester and wool fiber blend.
    • The Keetsa Pillow Plus has a comfort layer with a top layer of memory foam, followed by two middle layers of standard polyfoam and a bottom layer of high-density polyfoam. The support core is designed with pocketed coils. Like the Keetsa Plus, this mattress comes with a quilted organic cotton-canvas cover with polyester and wool lining.
    • The Tea Leaf Classic features a comfort layer with the following components: a top layer of memory foam, three middle layers of standard polyfoam, and a bottom layer of high-density polyfoam. The mattress is constructed with a pocketed coil support core. The quilted cover is made of a hemp fiber blend, and lined with polyester and wool fiber padding.
    • The Tea Leaf Dream has a comfort layer with two top layers of memory foam and a bottom layer of standard polyfoam. The support core is constructed with pocketed coils encased in foam. The quilted cover is made of a hemp fiber blend, and padded with recycled-fiber lining.
  • Please note that Keetsa also offers memory foam mattresses. For more information, check out our Keetsa Memory Foam Mattress Review.

Pros:

  • With the exception of the Tea Leaf Dream, Keetsa hybrid mattresses are priced significantly lower than the average hybrid model.
  • Keetsa offers a 12-year limited warranty for all mattresses; most competing mattress sellers offer no more than 10 years of nonprorated warranty coverage. Keetsa also provides a warranty for floor models, which is not commonly offered.

Cons:

  • The 90-night sleep trial includes a mandatory 30-night break-in period; customers who do not wait 30 nights will not qualify for a full product refund. Additionally, those who return their mattress must pay a return processing fee that is roughly 10% of the original product price.
  • Keetsa hybrid mattresses are available in three to five sizes, depending on the model. Many competing mattress sellers offer additional sizes, such as Twin XL and Split Kings and Queens.
  • Keetsa hybrids range in firmness from Medium to Firm. This may be limiting for customers who prefer to sleep on mattresses that are less firm than Medium.

Product and Price Range: Keetsa hybrid mattresses are available in five sizes: Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California King. Prices vary by both selected model and mattress size; certain models may not be currently available in all sizes. All Keetsa mattresses are manufactured in China.

Amazon rating: Keetsa mattresses are not currently sold on Amazon.com
BBB rating: A+

How Is the Mattress Shipped?: Keetsa mattresses are compressed, vacuum-sealed, and shipped in a box. According to Keetsa, mattresses may take one to three days to fully expand after they are removed from their packaging.
Where Do They Ship?: Keetsa ships mattresses anywhere within the United States and ‘most of Canada’.
Delivery Fee: Free shipping is available for customers in the contiguous 48 states and Canada. Customers in Alaska and Hawaii can contact Keetsa to receive a delivery price quote.

Delivery Policy: The delivery policy for Keetsa is as follows:

  • Most Keetsa orders are shipped through FedEx Ground. Deliveries to the contiguous U.S. and Canada typically take seven to 10 business days. Deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii typically take longer.
  • For Canadian deliveries, Keetsa will cover all duty and customs fees.
  • Customers should receive an order tracking number within one to two business days after their mattress has shipped.
  • Some customers living in metro areas like New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco may require ‘special delivery services‘. They have the option of ordering their mattress through the Keetsa brick-and-mortar showroom located in their respective metro area; ordering over the phone and in-person orders at the showrooms are both allowed. Keetsa notes that there is an additional fee for special delivery services.
  • Keetsa does not guarantee shipping times and is not responsible for delivery delays. Customers who face delays will be ‘promptly notified’.

Old Mattress Removal: Because they utilize FedEx Ground and other third-party couriers for their deliveries, Keetsa does not offer old mattress removal services.
Availability: Keetsa mattresses are available on the Keetsa website, as well as select authorized retailers; they are not available through Amazon.com. Additionally, Keetsa operates brick-and-mortar showrooms in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Berkeley, California.

Sleep Trial and Warranty Information

Trial Period and Guarantee: Keetsa offers a 90-night sleep trial for all hybrid mattresses.

  1. The sleep trial includes a mandatory 30-night break-in period. Customers will not be eligible to return their mattress for a full product refund until they have tested out the mattress for at least 30 nights.
  2. Customers who are unsatisfied with their mattress can contact Keetsa for information about obtaining additional comfort layers.
  3. Those who return their mattress will be assessed a return processing fee that amounts to roughly 10% of the original product price.
  4. The 90-night trial period is exclusively extended to customers who purchase their mattress directly from Keetsa. Those who purchase their mattress from authorized retailers will be ineligible for this return, and should defer to the return policy of that particular retailer.

Warranty: Keetsa offers a 12-year limited warranty on all mattresses.

  1. Keetsa will, at their sole discretion, choose to repair or replace all mattresses that are deemed defective.
  2. In the event that a defective mattress or mattress component is no longer sold, Keetsa reserves the right to substitute the mattress or component with ‘comparable materials or models’. Replacing the mattress will not extend the original warranty, nor will it cause a new warranty to be created.
  3. Mattresses that have served as floor models in brick-and-mortar showrooms will receive one year of limited warranty coverage.
  4. Keetsa mattresses should not be used with certain bed frames. Per Keetsa: ‘Proper use means using the mattress on a firm, rigid and smooth surface that allows air ventilation and supports the entire mattress, including the center, such as a slatted bed platform, box spring, or Keetsa bed frame foundation. Keetsa mattresses are not designed for use on Murphy beds or adjustable beds, and usage of Keetsa mattresses on these types of beds voids the warranty’.
  5. The  warranty will cover the following mattress defects:
    • Seams that come out or come undone.
    • Visible indentations or impressions in the mattress surface that measure one and a half inches (1 1/2″) or deeper.
    • Coils that extend or depress more than one and a half inches (1 1/2″) beyond their original height, or protrude from the mattress core.
  6. The warranty will not cover the following:
    • Cosmetic changes in the mattress, normal increases in foam softness, or indentations that do not measure one and a half inches (1 1/2″) or deeper. These are all considered standard wear and tear.
    • Repair or replacement requests that occur due to changes in the owner’s comfort preferences.
    • Burns, stains, discolorations, cuts, and other types of damage that result from owner misuse and/or use of an improper mattress foundation.
    • Damage due to bedbugs, mold, or other types of infestation that occur due to unsanitary conditions and/or owner misuse.
    • Changes in bed height due to long-term use.
    • Increases in foam softness due to exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  7. This warranty exclusively covers mattress repairs, replacements, and refunds at the original product price. Owners will be responsible for all shipping and transportation costs associated with repairing or replacing a mattress. In the event that a mattress is deemed defective, Keetsa will refund all transportation and mattress removal costs to the owner.
  8. Keetsa reserves the right to refuse to inspect mattresses that are ‘soiled, dampened, burned, stained, or infested with vermin’.
  9. This warranty is exclusively extended to original mattress owners that purchase new models from Keetsa or an authorized Keetsa retailer. Anyone who buys or acquires the mattress from the original owner or an unauthorized retailer, or buys a used mattress from Keetsa (such as a floor model), will not be eligible for 12-year warranty coverage.
