    Trial Period and Guarantee

intelliBED offers a 60-night sleep trial for all current mattresses:

    1. There is a mandatory 30-night break-in period. Customers will not be eligible to return their mattress for a full refund until after they have slept on their mattress for at least 30 nights.
    2. Customers must purchase a mattress protector to qualify for the 60-night sleep trial. However, this item cannot be returned, and customers will not receive a refund for the protector if they elect to return their mattress.
    3. Prior to initiating the return process, customers must contact intelliBed to receive a Return Authorization Number; returns will not be accepted without this number.
    4. intelliBED will issue a full refund (minus the mattress protector) for returned mattresses. Additionally, the company will cover all shipping and handling costs associated with the return.
    5. intelliBED mattresses must be returned in their original packaging and free from any stains or odors in order for the refund to be issued.

    Warranty

intelliBED offers a 30-year warranty for all current mattresses.

    1. Warranty coverage begins on the date or purchase. The warranty is divided into nonprorated and prorated coverage periods:
      • The first 10 years are nonprorated. intelliBED will, at their sole option, repair or replace mattresses that are deemed defective at no charge to the customer minus transportation costs.
      • Years 11 to 30 are prorated. intelliBED will repair or replace defective mattresses at a rate of 1/30 of the original product price times the number of years the mattress has been owned. For example, let’s say the customer has owned a $3,000 bed for 15 years; the cost would amount to $1,500, or $100 (1/30 of $3,000) multiplied by 15.
    2. The warranty length and its nonprorated/prorated terms are different for mattresses used with an adjustable base. These models will receive 20 years of warranty coverage divided into nonprorated and prorated periods:
      • The first 10 years are nonprorated. intelliBED will, at their sole option, repair or replace mattresses that are deemed defective at no charge to the customer minus transportation costs.
      • Years 11 to 20 are prorated. intelliBED will repair or replace defective mattresses at a rate of 1/20 of the original product price times the number of years the mattress has been owned. For example, let’s say the customer has owned a $3,000 bed for 15 years; the cost would amount to $2,250, or $150 (1/20 of $3,000) multiplied by 15.
    3. Customers must purchase a mattress protector in order to qualify for warranty protection. However, this protector is not covered under the same warranty. Per intelliBED: ‘The mattress protector warranty is through Malouf. Their phone number is (800)517-7179. We have negotiated a warranty through Malouf that if anything happens to the mattress that the protector should have prevented (while the protector is on the bed) Malouf will cover the cost to clean or replace the product. The customer will need their sales receipt as proof they purchased the protector the same time they purchased the bed.’
    4. intelliBED mattresses are designed for use with certain types of foundational support. According to intelliBED, ‘the box spring and frame combination needs to provide a flat, firm surface for the mattress to lie on’. Additionally, Queen- and King-size mattresses must be used with a base that has firm center support. Use of improper foundational support will void the warranty.
    5. The warranty will cover the following product defects:
      • Visible indentations or sagging in the mattress surface that measure three-quarters of an inch (3/4″) or deeper.
    6. The warranty will not cover the following:
      • Visible indentations or sagging in the mattress surface that do not measure three-quarters of an inch (3/4″) or deeper, or normal increases in mattress softness that do not affect its pressure-relieving abilities. These issues are considered standard wear and tear.
      • Repair or replacement requests that occur due to changes in the owner’s comfort preferences.
      • Burns, cuts, tears, stains, and other types of physical damage resulting from owner misuse, improper cleaning, and/or inadequate foundational support.
    7. This warranty is exclusively extended to original mattress owners who purchase their intelliBED directly from the company or an authorized retailer. Those who buy or acquire their mattress from the original owner or a non-authorized retailer will do so ‘as is’, and will not receive warranty protection.
