What You Need to Know about the iKrema Mattress

Mattress Type and Components:

  • iKrema offers memory foam mattresses. The company features two mattress models in its current lineup:
    • The iKreme SuperPedic features a comfort system with a top layer of plush 4 PCF memory foam and a bottom layer of ‘Memory-Tex’ 3 PCF memory foam. The support core is constructed from high-density polyfoam, and the cover is made of polyester, viscose, and elastane.
    • The iKrema MaxComfortPedic is designed with a top layer of 4 PCF gel memory foam in the comfort system, followed by a bottom layer of ‘Memory-Tex’ 3 PCF memory foam. The support core is made of high-density polyfoam, and the cover is a polyester, viscose, and elastane blend.

Pros:

  • iKrema offers two mattress models with different firmness ratings to accommodate a wider range of sleep preferences.

Cons:

  • There is a mandatory 40-night break-in period associated with the sleep trial; mattress owners cannot return their mattress for a full refund until at least 40 nights have elapsed. This may cause confusion for customers who do not read the fine print.
  • iKrema offers a 10-year mattress warranty that includes two to five years of nonprorated coverage. Comparatively, most 10-year warranties from other mattress sellers are entirely nonprorated.

Product and Price Range: iKrema mattresses are available in six sizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King. Prices vary by selected model and size; a size-by-size price comparison is found below. All iKrema mattresses are manufactured in the United States.

Amazon rating: The iKrema SuperPedic has earned a 5.0 rating from Amazon.com customers; the iKrema MaxComfortPedic is available for sale on that website, but has not earned a customer rating.
BBB rating: iKrema has not earned a grade from the Better Business Bureau

How Is the Mattress Shipped?: iKrema mattresses are compressed, rolled up, and shipped in a box. Shipping boxes measure 19W” x 40L” x 19H”.
Where Do They Ship?: According to their website, iKrema ships mattresses ‘anywhere in the world’. However, it’s important to note that the warranty will be voided as soon as the mattress leaves the United States or Canada.
Delivery Fee: Standard shipping is free within the continental United States; additional charges will apply for deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii, as well as international shipping.

Delivery Policy: The delivery policy for iKrema is as follows:

  1. All deliveries in the United States are coordinated through FedEx, UPS Ground, and other courier services. Mattresses are constructed one to three business days after the order is placed; most customers in the lower 48 states will receive their mattress in the mail within one to five business days after their mattress ships.
  2. UPS Ground offers front-door delivery; customers will not need to sign for their package.
  3. iKrema does not ship mattresses to P.O. boxes.

Old Mattress Removal: Because they utilize ground couriers for all deliveries, iKrema does not offer old mattress removal services.
Availability: iKrema mattresses are available on the iKrema website, as well as Amazon.com. iKrema does not operate any brick-and-mortar stores, and these mattresses are not sold at any other physical locations.

Sleep Trial and Warranty Information

Trial Period and Guarantee: iKrema offers a 101-night sleep trial for all mattresses.

  1. The 101-night trial begins on the date of delivery.
  2. There is a mandatory 40-night break-in period. Customers cannot return their mattress for a full refund until they have tested it out for at least 40 nights.
  3. A full product refund will be issued to customers who return their mattress after 40 nights as part of the 101-night sleep trial; iKrema will cover all transportation and handling costs associated with the mattress return, and will schedule a pick up time with customers.
  4. In addition to the 101-night sleep trial, iKrema allows customers to return unopened mattresses within 30 nights of their original purchase. If the customer requests a mattress return within 30 nights because they have selected the wrong size, iKrema will offer a ‘courtesy exchange‘ for the cost of delivery only; mattresses must be unopened to qualify for this offer.
  5. The 101-night sleep trial and 30-night return policy are exclusively extended to customers who purchase their mattress directly from iKrema. Those who buy their mattress from other authorized retailers (including Amazon.com) should defer to the policies of that seller.

Warranty: iKrema offers a 10-year warranty for all mattresses.

  1. Warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase. The warranty is divided into nonprorated and prorated periods. Furthermore, nonprorated/prorated charges depend on the type of mattress defect.
  2. If a mattress has visible sagging or indentations measuring one inch (1″) or deeper:
    • For the first two years, iKrema will (at their sole option) repair or replace defective mattresses; the company will bear all associated shipping and handling costs.
    • For years three to five, iKrema will cover all repair or replacement costs, and owners will be responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
    • Years six to 10 are prorated. Charges are assessed at a rate of 30% of the original product price plus 4% for each year of ownership. For example, someone who has owned an iKrema mattress for nine years must pay 66% of the original product price.
  3. If a mattress has a defect that is not associated with sagging or indentations measuring one inch (1″) or deeper:
    • For the first two years, iKrema will (at their sole option) repair or replace defective mattresses; the company will bear all associated shipping and handling costs.
    • Years three to 10 are prorated. Owners will be responsible for all transportation and handling costs associated with shipping a defective mattress. Charges are assessed at a rate of 20% of the original product price plus 4% for each year of ownership. For example, someone who has owned an iKrema mattress for nine years must pay 56% of the original product price.
  4. The warranty will cover the following mattress defects:
    • Visible indentations or sagging in the sleep surface that measure one inch (1″) or deeper (see prorated terms above).
    • Manufacturing flaws in the mattress that cause foams to split or crack.
  5. The warranty will not cover the following:
    • Normal increases in mattress softness that do not affect its pressure-relieving abilities, or visible indentations or sagging in the sleep surface that do not measure one inch (1″) or deeper. These issues are considered standard wear and tear.
    • Burns, cuts, tears, stains, and other types of physical damage that occur due to owner misuse, improper cleaning, and/or inadequate foundational support.
  6. iKrema reserves the right to refuse to repair or replace any mattress that arrives in unsanitary condition.
  7. This warranty exclusively extends to original owners that purchase their mattress from iKrema or an authorized retailer. Anyone who buys or acquires their mattress from the original owner or a non-authorized retailer will not receive warranty protection.
