Quick Overview

Casper is most well-known for mattresses and its role in helping to pioneer the rapid growth of the online mattress industry. But Casper isn’t just about mattresses and in 2018 launched a line of bedding including sheets.

Casper offers three sheet sets. The Cool Supima and Weightless Cotton sheets are made with 100% cotton, and the Airy Linen sheets are made with 100% European linen. Though there are differences in materials and construction, the performance of all of the Casper sheets focuses on achieving a comfortable feel and effective temperature regulation.

Exact availability can vary, but the sheet sets are manufactured in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King sizes, and each set comes with a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and two pillowcases. Bundles are available to purchase sheets along with a duvet cover.

As with their mattresses, Casper backs their sheets with a 100-night sleep trial with no-hassle returns, giving customers months to make sure that the sheets are right for them.

Pros
  • Notable combination of breathability and comfort in all sets
  • Plenty of choice: 3 distinct sheet sets and multiple color options
  • Easy to clean in the washer and dryer
  • 100-night sleep trial and 1-year limited warranty
Cons
  • Fitted sheets do not fit extra-deep mattresses
  • Limited stock of some colors and sizes

Temperature Regulation

Criteria

Stay nice and cool throughout the night, don’t cause you to overheat and awake in sweat. Allow for enough airflow to wick moisture away.

Rating

Excellent

What Buyers Say

Linen is a fantastic material for temperature control. Though it can feel heavier, it is remarkably absorbent and permits significant cooling airflow. This helps carry moisture away from your body and keep you cool through the night.

Category

Comfort and Feel

Criteria

Don’t snag on your body while you sleep. Feel soft to the touch and pleasant to sleep on.

Rating

Very Good

What Buyers Say

Linen has a more textured and noticeably less soft feel that cotton, although Casper pre-washes the linen to give it a bit more softness and pliability. Customers who are most satisfied with these sheets are those who prefer a crisp feel over a plush one.

Category

Cleaning

Criteria

Easy to clean and maintain so that they’re hygienic and pleasant to sleep on night after night.

Rating

Very Good

What Buyers Say

The Airy Linen sheets can be machine-washed and dried, but some customers find that they need to be ironed afterward to get rid of wrinkles.

Category

Fit

Criteria

Tailored to your mattress size so that it’s neither overstretched nor bunched up and moving around loosely.

Rating

Good

What Buyers Say

On most mattresses, the Airy Linen sheets offer an excellent fit, but the pocket depth of the fitted sheet is only 14”. This is less than many comparable linen sheets and can pose problems for people with extra-deep mattresses.

Weightless Cotton

Category Criteria Rating What Users Are Saying
Category

Durability

Criteria

Hold up to regular washing, daily wear and tear. Should last for several years.

Rating

Very Good

What Buyers Say

Like the other Casper sheets, the Weightless Cotton products are too new to the market to have years worth of data about durability. The long-staple cotton with a thread count of 360 should contribute to a quality lifespan for these sheets.

Category

Temperature Regulation

Criteria

Stay nice and cool throughout the night, don’t cause you to overheat and awake in sweat. Allow for enough airflow to wick moisture away.

Rating

Very Good

What Buyers Say

The twill weave in these sheets makes them warmer than the Cool Supima sheets that have a percale weave. At the same time, the long-staple cotton helps with airflow and cooling, and most customers say they are happy with the temperature regulation of these sheets.

Category

Comfort and Feel

Criteria

Don’t snag on your body while you sleep. Feel soft to the touch and pleasant to sleep on.

Rating

Excellent

What Buyers Say

The combination of long-staple cotton and the twill weave makes these plush and cozy sheets to put on your mattress. Customers love the feel and describe them as extremely comfortable.

Category

Cleaning

Criteria

Easy to clean and maintain so that they’re hygienic and pleasant to sleep on night after night.

Rating

Excellent

What Buyers Say

The Weightless Cotton sheets can be laundered in your washer and dryer, and they are the most resistant to wrinkles of all of the Casper sheets sets. They usually do not need to be ironed if you remove them from the dryer as soon as the dryer cycle ends.

Category

Fit

Criteria

Tailored to your mattress size so that it’s neither overstretched nor bunched up and moving around loosely.

Rating

Good

What Buyers Say

On mattresses under 14” tall, these sheets do not pose problems with fit. However, this pocket depth rules out this sheet set for many customers who have taller mattresses.

Each set of Casper sheets has its own style, but all three options provide high-quality performance. The cotton sheets are noticeably soft, especially the Weightless Cotton sheets that have an extra cozy feel thanks to the twill weave. The Airy Linen sheets are not plush but nevertheless feel nice against the skin and earn high marks from sleepers who like the texture of linen.

The sheet sets do an excellent job of promoting cooling through their breathable fabrics. Both linen and cotton are hailed for wicking moisture, and the percale weave of the Cool Supima sheets enhances that effect.

Washing and drying these sheets requires only minimal effort, and in many cases, ironing can be avoided completely if you promptly remove the sheets from the dryer. Early signs are that regular washing won’t shrink or damage the sheets.

While the sheets don’t have any major issues with bunching or pulling off the mattress, they do have a shallower pocket than many other comparable sheets, and this makes them a poor fit for people who have taller mattresses.
