What You Need to Know about the 4Sleep Mattress
Mattress Type and Components:
4Sleep offers memory foam mattresses.
The comfort layer features a top layer of gel memory foam, followed by middle and bottom layers of standard polyfoam.
The support core is constructed from high-density polyfoam.
The removable cover is woven from a blend of polyester, viscose, and Lycra® spandex.
The mattress also includes an ‘edge support’ polyfoam layer on the side edges.
The price-point for 4Sleep mattresses is on par with the price of an average memory foam mattress.
4Sleep mattresses are only available with one firmness setting (Medium Firm), which may be limiting to customers who prefer mattresses that are firmer or less firm.
The 100-night sleep trial includes a mandatory 30-night break-in period, which requires customers to test out the mattress for at least 30 nights before they will be eligible for a full product refund. This may cause confusion for those who don’t read the fine print.
Product and Price Range: 4Sleep mattresses are available in six sizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King. These range in price from $549 (Twin) to $999 (King and California King). All 4Sleep mattresses are manufactured in the United States.
How Is the Mattress Shipped?: The 4Sleep mattress is compressed, vacuum-sealed, and shipped in a box. 4Sleep recommends removing the mattress from its box ‘as soon as possible’, but notes it can remain packaged for ‘a few weeks’. The company’s website features a mattress unpackaging tutorial video. Where Do They Ship?: 4Sleep will ship mattresses to any address in the continental United States or Canada; deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii are not offered at this time. Delivery Fee: No charge for standard deliveries. Customers may be able to customize their delivery date by contacting 4Sleep over the phone or via email; additional costs may be assessed for these requests.
Delivery Policy: The delivery policy for 4Sleep is as follows:
4Sleep utilizes FedEx Ground for all deliveries. Most customers receive their mattress within two to five business days of their initial purchase. Deliveries occur between Monday and Friday; weekend deliveries are not available.
In the event that a mattress has not arrived but the tracking number indicates it has been delivered, the customer should immediately contact 4Sleep by phone or email.
4Sleep asks customers to ensure they have ordered the correct size before opening the mattress box; otherwise they will be ineligible to return the mattress based on its size.
All returned mattresses are donated to charity.
Old Mattress Removal: Because they utilize FedEx Ground delivery personnel, 4Sleep does not offer old mattress removal services. Availability: 4Sleep mattresses are available on the 4Sleep website, as well as Amazon.com. The company does not operate any brick-and-mortar showrooms.

Sleep Trial and Warranty Information
Trial Period and Guarantee: 4Sleep offers a 100-night sleep trial for all mattresses.
The sleep trial includes a mandatory break-in period of 30 days. This means that customers must test out the mattress for at least 30 days before they will be eligible to return the mattress for a full product refund.
In the event that a mattress must be exchanged for a different size, 4Sleep will coordinate re-delivery details with the customer; the company will issue a refund to the customer minus the price differential if the replacement is larger than the original model, and the customer will be responsible for all handling and transportation costs associated with the exchange. Replacing a mattress based on size will void the 100-night sleep trial.
Customers who wish to return their mattress will not be responsible for repackaging the item. 4Sleep will arrange for the mattress to be picked up from the customer’s residence and transported to a charity donation center. Once the mattress has been received by the charity, the customer will receive a receipt.
The 100-night sleep trial is available to customers who purchase their mattress from 4Sleep or Amazon.com.
Warranty: 4Sleep offers a 10-year limited warranty for all mattresses.
4Sleep will, at their sole option, choose to repair or replace all mattresses that are deemed defective.
The mattress owner will be responsible for all transportation, removal, and inspection costs related to defective mattress repairs or replacements.
The warranty will be voided if an improper support system is used with the mattress. According to 4Sleep, these mattresses are designed for use with an ‘adequate foundation or adjustable bed base with a proper bed frame sufficient to support the collective weight of the mattress, foundation and user(s)’.
Mattress owners may choose to replace a defective mattress with the same model or an upgrade.
If the same model is chosen for the replacement, the owner will receive a full product refund and the new mattress will receive coverage from the original warranty. Replacing a mattress with the same model will not extend the 10-year warranty period, nor will it result in a new 10-year warranty.
If an upgrade model is chosen, then the price difference between the upgrade and the original will be deducted from the owner’s product refund. A new 10-year warranty will be created for the upgrade replacement.
The 4Sleep warranty will cover the following mattress defects:
Deterioration of the mattress material that results in visible indentations measuring one inch (1″) or deeper that do not result from misuse or improper foundational support.
Physical flaws in the mattress that cause the foam to split or crack.
Manufacturing flaws related to the cover, including cracked or broken zippers. If the cover is defective, 4Sleep will replace it with the current cover model, which may have a different color and/or design from the original.
The warranty will not cover the following:
Visible indentations that do not measure one inch (1″) or deeper, or normal increases in the softness of the mattress foam that do not affect the material’s pressure-relieving qualities. These are both considered standard wear and tear.
Repair or replacement requests related to changes in the owner’s comfort preference.
Burns, cuts, tears, stains, and other types of damage that result from misuse and/or improper foundational support.
This warranty is exclusively extended to original owners that purchase their mattress directly from 4Sleep or Amazon.com. Anyone who buys or acquires the mattress from the original owner or another mattress seller will do so ‘as is’, and will not be eligible for warranty coverage.
